Dr. Morettin is a dedicated optometrist committed to delivering exceptional eye care in Toronto. She has advanced training in ocular disease and a clinical focus on glaucoma, neuro-ophthalmic conditions, and anterior segment disease, allowing her to provide thorough, evidence-based care to protect her patients’ vision and overall eye health.
She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Waterloo. During her studies she completed an internship at the St. Albans VA Medical Center in Queens, New York. She then went on to pursue a residency in Primary Care and Ocular Disease at the Illinois College of Optometry and the Illinois Eye Institute in Chicago.
Following residency, Dr. Morettin served as a faculty member at the Illinois College of Optometry from 2014 to 2022, where she was promoted to Associate Professor. During this time, she was also Chief of the Urgent Eye Care Clinic at the Illinois Eye Institute and provided pediatric eye care in a clinic affiliated with the Chicago Public School system.
Dr. Morettin is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and a member of the Ontario Association of Optometrists. She serves as a consultant for the Accreditation Council on Optometric Education and has contributed to public health through roles on the Illinois Diversity in Healthcare Task Force and the Illinois Prescription Monitoring Program, where she was part of an interdisciplinary team analyzing controlled substance prescribing patterns.
Beyond clinical care, Dr. Morettin actively contributes to the profession through research, peer-reviewed publications, and continuing education. She frequently lectures for various organizations and participates in ongoing clinical studies.
